Softball Recap: Berean Christian Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

Berean Christian barely beat Las Lomas the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 10-4 win on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Eagles have posted against the Knights since March 9, 2017.

Berean Christian let Hanna Lavino and Leila Rhoads run wild. Lavino went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double, while Rhoads got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs. Those two hits gave Lavino a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma De Carlo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Berean Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Las Lomas, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Berean Christian will square off against Campolindo at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season. As for Las Lomas, they will face off against Miramonte at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Matadors will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
