Baseball Recap: Segerstrom Comes Up Short

If Segerstrom was feeling good fresh off their 12-1 takedown of Kennedy on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jaguars took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fighting Irish on Friday. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Fighting Irish earlier this season, when they won 12-1.

Isaiah Gonzalez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Segerstrom has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Kennedy, their record is now 4-24.

Coming up, Segerstrom is taking a road trip to take on Buena Park at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Kennedy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
