Basketball Recap: Raleigh Charter Takes a Loss

Raleigh Charter lost against NCSSM: Durham back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Raleigh Charter Phoenix took a blow against the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns, falling 62-35. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Raleigh Charter lost, don't look at Kabira Bryant. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 14 en route to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Rucker, who posted eight points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead NCSSM: Durham to victory, but perhaps none more so than Chris Chen, who went 7 of 10 on his way to 17 points. Jay Peng was another key player, going 5 for 11 en route to 11 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Raleigh Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for NCSSM: Durham, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Raleigh Charter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 41-30 victory against Research Triangle on the 4th. As for NCSSM: Durham, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-59 win against Franklin Academy on the 3rd.
