Volleyball Recap: Tempe Comes Up Short

Tempe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks.

Tempe wouldn't go down easily and took Desert Sunrise into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-22, 17-25, 23-25, 15-13.

Tempe's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Desert Sunrise, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tempe will take on South Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Desert Sunrise, they will square off against Lee Williams at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
