Volleyball Game Preview: Uintah Utes vs. Mountain View Bruins

The Uintah Utes will venture away from home to square off against the Mountain View Bruins at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Uintah is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Uintah came up short against Provo on Thursday, falling 3-0.

While Uintah was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-16.

Uintah's loss came about despite a quality game from Abbie Davis, who had 21 assists and 12 digs.

Meanwhile, Mountain View faced Orem in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bruins took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The defeat continues a trend for the Bruins in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 26-28, 25-16.

Mountain View suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 19-7. As for Uintah, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

Uintah couldn't quite get it done against Mountain View in their previous matchup back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Utes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
