Volleyball Recap: Calhoun Extends Winning Streak to Four

Calhoun had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Adairsville Tigers. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Yellow Jackets also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Calhoun took both sets by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-7.

Leading Calhoun to victory were Lilly Hayward and Addie Hite. Hayward had five digs and three aces, while Hite had 13 assists and two aces. That's the most aces Hayward has posted over her last seven games. Alexa Vigil Perez also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Calhoun's record is now 19-7. As for Adairsville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.

Calhoun has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Gilmer on the 16th. As for Adairsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Dade County on the 11th.
