Goochland barely beat Amelia County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bulldogs' pitchers stepped up to hand the Raiders a 12-0 shutout on Monday. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Goochland has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Amelia County, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Goochland will take on Charlottesville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Black Knights have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
