Lackey has gone 8-2 against Chopticon recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lackey Chargers are taking a road trip to take on the Chopticon Braves at 6:30 p.m. Lackey is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

Lackey will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Thomas Stone, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Lackey enjoyed a cozy 61-43 win over Thomas Stone on Wednesday. Given the Chargers' advantage in MaxPreps' Maryland basketball rankings (they are ranked 49th, while the Cougars are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Chopticon earned a 60-50 victory over Westlake on Friday.

Chopticon's win came from a few key players Lackey will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brian McMahon, who posted 12 points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Bryson Fenwick was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards.

Chopticon was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westlake only posted nine assists.

Lackey's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points per game. As for Chopticon, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Lackey was dealt a bruising 75-48 loss at the hands of Chopticon when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Can Lackey avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
