Basketball Game Preview: Jacksboro Tigers vs. Bowie Jackrabbits

The Jacksboro Tigers and the Bowie Jackrabbits will compete for holiday cheer at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

It was a proper cat-fight when Jacksboro duked it out withHenrietta on Tuesday. Jacksboro managed a 45-40 win over Henrietta.

Meanwhile, Bowie didn't have too much trouble with Iowa Park on Tuesday as they won 45-30. Given the Jackrabbits' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Hawks are ranked 726th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Bowie is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Jacksboro, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Jacksboro was able to grind out a solid win over Bowie in their previous meeting back in January, winning 40-28. Will Jacksboro repeat their success, or does Bowie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
