Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Calista Lowery and Avalon Lowery Lead Pacific Ridge to Victory + How To Watch

Pacific Ridge posted their closest victory since October 29, 2024 on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the La Jolla Vikings 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Firebirds.

Pacific Ridge took La Jolla into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 24-26, 23-25, 25-15, 15-7.

Pacific Ridge was led to victory by Avalon Lowery and Calista Lowery. Avalon had 12 digs, while Calista hit 71.4% for six kills and 14 digs, four aces, and one block. Calista has been hot for a while, having also posted 14 or more assists the last 12 times she's played. Maya Acuna also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Pacific Ridge was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. They are a perfect 3-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Pacific Ridge's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for La Jolla, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-8.

After both having extra time off, Pacific Ridge and Bishop's will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Jolla, they will venture away from home to square off against Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Vikings' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
