Mile High Academy waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Timberwolves, too.

Mile High Academy was especially dominant in the third set. The final score came out to 25-17, 21-25, 25-15, 25-16.

Lia Zachawerus paced Mile High Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Zachawerus got some help from Alaina Hickman and her 20 assists. Addy Dodds controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Despite the loss, Twin Peaks Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ari Esch had 26 digs. Those 26 digs set a new season-high mark for Esch. Katie Fuller also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Mile High Academy's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.

Mile High Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Beth Eden Baptist on the 21st. As for Twin Peaks Classical Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-1 win against Campion Academy on the 20th.
