Softball Recap: Bayside Comes Up Short

Bayside extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-16. They fell 6-3 to the First Colonial Patriots. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Patriots this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-3 back in April.

As for First Colonial, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-9. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games.

For First Colonial's part, Cori Evans spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Lucy Domozick, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in May of 2025. Addison Foxwell was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

As of now, neither Bayside nor First Colonial have any future games scheduled.
