Volleyball Recap: Sandy Spring Friends Comes Up Short

Sandy Spring Friends was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-1 to the Washington Christian Academy Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Wildebeests were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Sandy Spring Friends was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Washington Christian Academy work for it, especially in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 23-25, 25-19, 28-26.

Sandy Spring Friends' record now sits at 4-7. As for Washington Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-5.

Looking ahead, Sandy Spring Friends will welcome Don Bosco Cristo Rey at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Washington Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
