Basketball Recap: Episcopal Takes a Loss

Episcopal and Harding Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Episcopal had to settle for second. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harding Academy. While losing is never fun, Episcopal can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while Harding Academy is ranked 23rd).

Harding Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emery Wilson out in front who posted 17 points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Claire Citty, who scored 19 points along with five boards and three steals.

Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Harding Academy, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.

Episcopal does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harding Academy, they will face off against Bald Knob at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
