Baseball Game Preview: Lakeland Thunderbirds vs. Northland Pines Eagles

The Lakeland Thunderbirds will square off against the Northland Pines Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Lakeland and Antigo had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Thunderbirds fell 6-3 to the Red Robins on Monday. The Thunderbirds haven't had much luck with the Red Robins recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, Northland Pines was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mosinee. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Jonah Will made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one run.

Lakeland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Northland Pines, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Lakeland was able to grind out a solid win over Northland Pines in their previous meeting back in April, winning 4-1. Do the Thunderbirds have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
