It was a good run, but Wolcott College Prep unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Christ the King Gladiators. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gladiators this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 on Monday.

While Wolcott College Prep ultimately came up short, they really made Christ the King work, particularly in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-21.

Wolcott College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Christ the King, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wolcott College Prep will challenge Morgan Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Christ the King, they will face off against Marian Central Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on September 8.
