Softball Recap: Maxwell Takes a Loss

Maxwell was the 13-3 winner over Mt. Shasta when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers lost 22-2 to the Bears on Saturday. The contest marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Maxwell saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bianca Minutti, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI.

Maxwell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3-1. As for Mt. Shasta, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Mt. Shasta will square off against Anderson at 1:35 p.m. on Saturday. Maxwell will be paying especially close attention to the Bears' matchup: after the Bears face off against the Cubs, they'll take on Maxwell again at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
