Davis's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the Velma-Alma Comets get on the board and left with a 15-0 victory. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

Davis pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Velma-Alma, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davis will take on Marlow at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Outlaws' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Wolves' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Velma-Alma, they will face off against Bray-Doyle at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
