Los Lunas is 9-1 against Rio Grande since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Tigers will welcome the Ravens at 11:00 a.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Friday just wasn't the day for Los Lunas' offense. They lost 5-0 to Albuquerque on Friday. Los Lunas have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Rio Grande took on Hobbs on Thursday. The Ravens came up short against the Eagles, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, Rio Grande can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Hobbs are ranked ninth).

Rio Grande's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Los Lunas, they now have a losing record of 7-8-1.

Everything went Los Lunas' way against Rio Grande in their previous matchup back in September, as Los Lunas made off with a 10-0 win. Do the Tigers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Ravens turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
