Volleyball Recap: Mullen Comes Up Short

Mullen lost against Grandview back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mustangs came up short against the Wolves, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Mullen took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-16, 25-21.

James Baker paced Mullen's offense, picking up three kills. Baker got some help from Razi Daugherty and his three assists. Finally, Ari Kaufman kept Mullen's defense grounded, leading the team with nine blocks.

Mullen now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Grandview, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-2.

Mullen has already played their next contest (against Cherry Creek), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Grandview, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Littleton Public Schools on the 3rd.
