Volleyball Recap: Oak Creek Victorious

Oak Creek posted their closest victory since October 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Burlington Demons 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

If you add up the scores from across all three sets (61-57) Oak Creek actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-23, 15-13.

Their offense was headlined by Isa Ruether and Lily Turlais, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Julia Schneider and her ten assists. Ruether was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Oak Creek now has a winning record of 2-1.

Oak Creek has already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Franklin on the 27th. As for Burlington, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Catholic Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on September 11.
