Basketball Recap: Belgrade Takes a Loss

Belgrade was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Great Falls Bison. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 48-40 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Belgrade's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Great Falls, the win snapped their losing streak at 13 games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-5 record.

Belgrade and Great Falls could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Montana Rankings. Belgrade will face off against Billings Senior at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday down 78 places (128 vs. 50). Similarly, Great Falls (ranked 138th) will meet Gallatin (ranked 11th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
