Montrose waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Weaubleau Tigers as they made off with an 11-5 win. Considering the Blue Jays have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Zoie Wheeler made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). What's more, she also racked up four hits, the mostshe's had since back in September of 2023. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and a triple.

In other batting news, Montrose let Lainee Swaters and Natalie Nitchals loose on the outfield. Swaters scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Nitchals scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave Nitchals a new career-high in hits. Another player making a difference was Hallie Harkrader, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and a stolen base.
