Football Recap: Monmouth United Comes Up Short

Monmouth United played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 47-8 loss at the hands of the Princeville Princes. The Red Storm have struggled against the Princes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Princeville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaiden Sarnes, who threw for 133 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 passes, and also rushed for 42 yards and one score. Noah Geiger was another key rusher, rushing for 79 yards and one TD on only eight carries.

Monmouth United's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Princeville, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

As of now, neither Monmouth United nor the Princes have any future games scheduled.
