Softball Recap: Pinecrest Academy Cadence Comes Up Short

Pinecrest Academy Cadence lost against Cimarron-Memorial back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Cougars came up short against the Spartans, falling 22-1. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Aliyah Kolish made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances. Jazmun Thompson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Pinecrest Academy Cadence's record is now 2-9. As for Cimarron-Memorial, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pinecrest Academy Cadence will challenge rival Desert Pines at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Cimarron-Memorial is set to take on their familiar foe Clark at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
