Soccer Game Preview: Arab vs. Douglas

The Arab Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Douglas Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arab's last three contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Arab's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They beat Lee by a goal, winning 1-0.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Douglas, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Scottsboro on Friday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Eagles were the better team in the second half.

Anthony Cortez and Josue Juarez scored both of Douglas' goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

The victory got Douglas back to even at 1-1. As for Arab, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Arab took their victory against Douglas in their previous meeting back in March of 2017 by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arab since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
