Softball Recap: Harwood Takes a Loss

Harwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 20-2 to the Lake Region Rangers. If the Highlanders were looking for revenge after losing 17-5 to the Rangers when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Harwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aoife Garvin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Garvin has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played.

Harwood's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-1. As for Lake Region, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Harwood will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Thetford Academy at 4:30 p.m. As for Lake Region, they have already played their next contest, a 24-0 loss against Oxbow on the 27th.
