Soccer Game Preview: Los Fresnos vs. Steele

The Los Fresnos Falcons will head out on the road to square off against the Steele Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Los Fresnos is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Economedes 3-2. Los Fresnos haven't had any issues with Economedes recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Steele kept a clean sheet against Alexander on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Bulldogs. Given Steele's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 187th, while Alexander are ranked 381st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Justyce Jackson and Lexi Brown scored both of Steele's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Steele's victory bumped their record up to 11-5-4. As for Los Fresnos, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
