Softball Game Preview: Spring Hill Bears vs. Mountain Pine Red Devils

The Spring Hill Bears will square off against the Mountain Pine Red Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.

Spring Hill's last matchup with Dierks could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Bears lost 9-2 to the Outlaws. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Spring Hill saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jade Joy, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, Mountain Pine had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Mount Ida 14-13.

Spring Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mountain Pine, their win bumped their record up to 2-6.

Spring Hill got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against Mountain Pine by a conclusive 16-0 score. Will the Bears repeat their success, or do the Red Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
