West Central came tearing into Saturday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Beresford Watchdogs 5-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

West Central pushed their record up to 17-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Beresford, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coming up, West Central will head out to face off against Dakota Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Beresford, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 18-0 win against Centerville on the 3rd.
