Softball Recap: Lincoln Mustangs vs. Balboa Buccaneers
Lincoln fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Balboa on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Buccaneers by a score of 5-4. Ventura Van-Zandt put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 7.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
