Baseball Game Preview: Clemens Buffaloes vs. Tivy Antlers

The Clemens Buffaloes are taking a road trip to face off against the Tivy Antlers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clemens' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Tivy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Clemens is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Texas' top teams: Johnson, who was ranked 24th at the time (Clemens was ranked 21st). Clemens had just enough and edged out Johnson 6-4.

Meanwhile, Tivy got themselves on the board against Wagner on Friday, but Wagner never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 win over the Thunderbirds. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Antlers.

The result came thanks to Sam Barber's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up seven Ks. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in February.

Clemens has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. Tivy's win bumped their record up to 9-14.
