Basketball Recap: Seminole Warhawks vs. Sports Leadership & Management Spartans
There's no place like home for Seminole, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They took their match on Thursday with ease, bagging a 72-38 win over the Sports Leadership & Management Spartans. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 43-12.

Seminole got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Riley Turknett out in front who posted 14 points in addition to seven assists and six steals. That's the most assists Turknett has posted since back in November of 2024. Emily Fekollari was another key player, going 7 for 12 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.
Turknett wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Seminole was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sports Leadership & Management only posted seven assists.
Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Skylar Payne went 7 of 14 on her way to 16 points and seven boards. That was a full 42.1% of Sports Leadership & Management's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalynn Konyah, who put up nine points.
Seminole's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-14. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they moved to 9-13 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Seminole will square off against Booker on Thursday.
