Basketball Recap: Valley View Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Valley View was the 50-45 winner over Scranton when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Valley View Cougars fell 41-28 to the Scranton Knights on Monday. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Valley View's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-2. As for Scranton, they pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Valley View and Scranton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. Valley View (ranked 51st) will meet West Scranton (ranked 578th) at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Scranton will square off against North Pocono at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday up 217 places (108 vs. 325).
