East Bakersfield gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Golden Valley Bulldogs with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blades also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

One reason for the win was East Bakersfield's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 25-13.

Leading East Bakersfield to victory were Kaylie Demison and Roxanna Ramirez. Demison had 15 digs and two aces, while Ramirez had four digs and three aces.

They weren't the only good server: East Bakersfield was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Golden Valley only served two aces.

East Bakersfield has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Highland on the 19th. As for Golden Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 19th.
