Softball Recap: Perry Hall Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Dulaney

Perry Hall faced Dulaney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Perry Hall came up short against Dulaney, falling 16-5. The Gators were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Madison Carl made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Shalimar Lopez, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Perry Hall's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Dulaney, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perry Hall will venture away from home to square off against Catonsville at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Dulaney, they will head out to take on Maryvale Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Dulaney's pitchers better be ready for this one: Maryvale Prep has averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
