Basketball Game Preview: West Caldwell Tech Eagles vs. American History Eagles

We've got a battle between Eagles coming up. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, West Caldwell Tech didn't have quite enough to beat Shabazz and fell 59-56. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, American History played a tough matchup on Thursday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by East Side and fell 87-42. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-11.

West Caldwell Tech will have to keep a close watch on Ihjamir Williams and Ah'Mad Woodard, a pair of players who had a big impact on American History's prior game. Williams posted eight points along with seven rebounds and five blocks, while Woodard earned 15 points. Williams is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in each of the last 23 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ahmad Davis, who scored four points in addition to five boards and three steals.

West Caldwell Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for American History, their loss dropped their record down to 19-8.

West Caldwell Tech came up short against American History when the teams last played back in February of 2020, falling 70-57. Can West Caldwell Tech avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
