            Baseball Recap: Plainview Hornets vs. St. Joseph's - Plaucheville Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Plainview was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were two  runs away from ending the streak, but they lost  an   8-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph's - Plaucheville Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  17-5  back in March.

 Dallas Harrison put in work no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because Plainview is 2-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 7-12 otherwise. Harrison was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Harrison wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Caleb Calhoun, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base. Another  was  Caden Lee, who  went 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
Plainview's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plainview will head out to  face off against Hicks  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.6  runs per game  this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for St. Joseph's - Plaucheville, they will head out on the road to  take on  Bunkie  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
