Basketball Game Preview: Shadow Mountain Matadors vs. Moon Valley Rockets

The Shadow Mountain Matadors will head out on the road to face off against the Moon Valley Rockets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Moon Valley took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shadow Mountain, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Shadow Mountain turned things around against Goldwater on Wednesday. They secured a 47-43 W over the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Moon Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 47-42 heartbreaker at the hands of Greenway.

Shadow Mountain's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-9. As for Moon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-15.

Shadow Mountain was able to grind out a solid win over Moon Valley in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 65-57. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Moon Valley's Maurice Brown, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine boards.
