Volleyball Game Preview: Hudsonville Eagles vs. Davison Cardinals

The Hudsonville Eagles will take on the Davison Cardinals at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hudsonville comes in on four and Davison on 18.

If East Kentwood wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Hudsonville, they should've done a better job of containing Emmy Poll. The Eagles blew past the Falcons 3-0 on Thursday for which the team can thank Poll, who had 11 digs and four aces. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-8, 25-10.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Davison took on Grand Blanc on Thursday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Davison was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-14.

Hudsonville's win bumped their record up to 21-6-1. As for Davison, their victory bumped their record up to 18-1.
