Volleyball Recap: Estes Park Comes Up Short

Estes Park lost against Highland back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell 3-1 to the Huskies. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Estes Park ultimately came up short, they really made Highland work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-23, 19-25, 25-17.

Charlotte Holmes paced Estes Park's offense, picking up nine kills. Holmes got some help from Hanna Cousineau and her 22 assists. Finally, Vanessa Gonzales kept Estes Park's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

Estes Park's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Highland, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Estes Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Belleview Christian on the 16th. As for Highland, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against Union Colony Prep on the 21st.
