Pine waltzed into their match on Tuesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They blew past the Northlake Christian Wolverines 57-25. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 45th, while the Wolverines are ranked 128th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pine is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. As for Northlake Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-7.

Pine is taking a road trip to take on Kentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing isn't great for Kentwood: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home, while Pine has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. Northlake Christian has already played their next game, a 50-38 defeat against Loranger on the 15th.
