Baseball Recap: Warsaw's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Warsaw was the 12-5 winner over Frankfort when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hot Dogs on Saturday. The Tigers' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Warsaw saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Dippon, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one RBI. Another was Wyatt Stapleton, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.

Warsaw's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Frankfort, they moved to 11-9 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Coming up, Warsaw will be taking part in a tournament against Tippecanoe Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Frankfort, they will take on Fairfield in a tournament on Saturday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Hot Dogs surely won't give up without a fight.
