South Panola, Colquitt County battle for No. 1 ranking.

The race for the top team in the MaxPreps South Region Football Computer Rankings will go down to the final week of the season with South Panola and Colquitt County both fighting for the top spot.

No. 1 South Panola defeated Oak Grove to win the Mississippi Class 6A state championship, but it holds less than a one-point lead over Colquitt County (Moultrie, Ga.).

Colquitt County, meanwhile, will face Archer in the Georgia Class 6A state finals this weekend. A win in the championship game could push it past South Panola and into the No. 1 spot.
