If Edgewood was riding high  fresh off their  3-0 takedown of Geneva last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warriors took  a  3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Madison Blue Streaks on Tuesday. The Warriors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
 The  defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive:  Madison scored at least 18 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-20, 23-25, 25-18,  25-20.
 Faith Vencill paced Edgewood's offense, picking up 23 kills. Vencill got some help from  Summer Matthews and her 42 assists.  Payton Lamson controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.
 Leading Madison to victory were  Gracie Kless and  Ally Negin.  Kless  had 20  digs and five  aces, while  Negin  had 18  digs and two  aces. Those  18  digs gave  Negin a new career-high.
Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Madison,  the  win snapped their losing streak at six matches  and leaves them with a 5-15 record.
 Edgewood wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  3-1  victory against Jefferson Area on the 8th. As for Madison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  3-2  defeat against Perry on the 8th.
