Basketball Game Preview: Wayne Pioneers vs. Chapmanville Regional Tigers

Wayne hasn't had much luck against Chapmanville Regional recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Wayne Pioneers are taking a road trip to face off against the Chapmanville Regional Tigers at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Wayne comes in on five and Chapmanville Regional on four.

Last Saturday, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Wayne made off with a 53-52 win over Ripley.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Chapmanville Regional challenged Capital on Monday. Chapmanville Regional enjoyed a cozy 73-56 victory over Capital. 73 seems to be a good number for the Tigers as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Chapmanville Regional pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Wayne, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.

Wayne lost to Chapmanville Regional on the road by a decisive 71-55 margin when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Can Wayne avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
