Basketball Recap: Shenandoah Zeps vs. Bellaire Big Reds

Shenandoah was the 67-40 winner over Bellaire when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Shenandoah Zeps fell to the Bellaire Big Reds 76-70. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (59), the Zeps still had to take the loss.

Bellaire found their leader in sophomore Raekwon Pettigrew, who dropped a double-double with 41 points and ten boards. Pettigrew has become a key player for Bellaire: the team is 5-2 when he posts at least ten rebounds, but 6-9 otherwise. Caleb Jewell was another key player, going 7-for-14 to rack up 24 points and six boards.
