Recap: Trinity Prep Lions vs. Greene County Tigers
The Trinity Prep Lions were the 63-59 winner over the Greene County Tigers when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Trinity Prep was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 51-50 to Greene County.
Despite the loss, Trinity Prep still got an impressive performance from Shane Harvey, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. The match was Harvey's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Allan Ray IV was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with four steals.
Trinity Prep has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Greene County, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Prep will take on Providence Classical Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Greene County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lake Oconee Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 6th.
