Softball Recap: Shenandoah Comes Up Short

Shenandoah managed to slip by Yorktown the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Raiders came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 12-2. The contest marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Shenandoah saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adeylnn Toffolo, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Shenandoah's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Yorktown, they pushed their record up to 16-1 with the victory, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Shenandoah will welcome Knightstown at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Yorktown, they will face off against Daleville at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Broncos have averaged an impressive 7.3 runs per game this season.
