Soccer Game Preview: Hopkinton vs. Holliston

The Hopkinton Hillers will head out on the road to face off against the Holliston Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopkinton's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Hopkinton turned things around against Dedham on Tuesday. The two teams finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Holliston kept a clean sheet against Westwood on Tuesday. They skirted past the Wolverines 1-0. The game was the first time Holliston have beaten Westwood on their pitch since October 26, 2021.

Holliston's win bumped their record up to 8-3-3. Hopkinton's draw gives them a new season record of 6-5-4.

Hopkinton came out on top in a nail-biter against Holliston when the teams last played back in September, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hillers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
